ACT Group For Adults Suffering From Depression/Anxiety

Many struggle with depression and anxiety and experience day-to-day difficulties trying to avoid distressing symptoms. We are offering a new group called ACT, for adults “stuck” in depression and/or anxiety. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we will explore how our thoughts and feelings often lead to suffering and misery. Through discussion and group exercises, participants will discover ways to living more fully with all of their experiences, and the freedom and richness that purposeful living can bring.
DBT Social Skills Group

The goal of social skills training is to learn and refine skills in changing behavioral, emotional, and thinking patterns associated with problems in living, that is, those causing misery and distress. Behaviors to increase include: Interpersonal effectiveness skills, emotion regulation skills, distress tolerance skills, and core mindfulness skills. This skills based group will offer participants the opportunity to practice specific behavioral skills including mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. An inspiring group that will benefit individuals who would like to better access and balance their emotional and reasonable minds.
